Could someone help me with this?1 I restored factory setting so the computer is the same as when it came out of the store.2 Every woman has occasion when she wants to look her best.3 She's very short in relation/in comparison to/compared to her husband. (I know compared is ok , which of the other two would use?)4 I got 70 % of its price/ I sold it for 70 percent of its price. (how would you say this?)5 John is a much faster walker than I am, and would certainly have completed the course in less time than he took having elected to accompany me/In less times than I would have had I ran the course. (are both options alright?)6 Your waiter for the night is no other than yours truly Ms..../ I'll be leaving you with no other than yours truly Mr...7 Have you ever seen two people play the accordion on the subway in 2 cars adjacent to each other8 Which word suits the context better?  (Is SUIT THE RIGHT WORD?)Thank you

1 I restored factory setting so the computer is the same as when it came out of the store. This is okay, but "settings" is more common.

2 Every woman has occasion when she wants to look her best. Use the plural (occasions) here. You may be thinking of the infinitive use, "Every woman has occasion to regret her marriage."

3 She's very short in relation/in comparison to/compared to her husband. (I know compared is ok , which of the other two would use?) Neither, but they're both correct.

4 I got 70 % of its price/ I sold it for 70 percent of its price. (how would you say this?) I sold it for 70% of list price.

5 John is a much faster walker than I am, and would certainly have completed the course in less time than he took having elected to accompany me/In less times than I would have had I ran the course. (are both options alright?) . . . had I run the course.

They're both technically correct, but awkward.

6 Your waiter for the night is no other than yours truly Ms../ I'll be leaving you with no other than yours truly Mr... When speaking in the first person, "yours truly" refers to the first person. You would not refer to yourself (in the third person) as "Ms./Mr. X.", unless you're making some kind of joke.
"Your waiter for the evening," unless there are other services involved.

7 Have you ever seen two people play the accordion on the subway in 2 cars adjacent to each other Needs a question mark. You'd have to be PDQ (pretty damned quick), because adjacent cars would be going in opposite directions.
Well, maybe not. I tend to think of "adjacent" as "side by side," but I suppose the cars could be consecutive.

8 Which word suits the context better? (Is SUIT THE RIGHT WORD?) Yes - probably better than "fits." You can also say, "Which word is better suited to the context?"
(I think "fits" is more technical, and "suits" is more subtle.)
