6 questions need help please

Can someone take a quick look at this?

1 The furniture cost as much as the rent./ The furniture is as expensive as the rent.
2 I compared everyone to my husband; what he makes a month, so in relation to him, I must say, people don't make lots of money.
3 I rented a small place in the meantime, while I look for something better.
4 Plumbers usually act as if there job takes longer than it actually does so as to make more money.
5 A dogs hearing is 10 times greater/more sensitive than that of humans.
6 I saw the bus hit her before it actually did/ I knew the bus was going to hit her before it did.
7 Sunday was when we made the most money.
