5 weeks paid vacation

In France you have 5 weeks paid vacation, meaning you can go on vacation and you still get paid, some people, instead of going on vacation, would rather get paid the 5 weeks on their stub and not take vacation.
How would you express this?

1 Some people, instead of going on vacation, would rather get paid the 5 weeks on the stub. I personally always ask to be paid the 5 weeks vacation on my stub. I don't go on vacation.

Thank you

On their stub, on the stub, and on my stub are not expressions that I know or understand. If you remove them from your sentences it will help immensely.

Why do you need to mention the word paycheck?
The point of your sentences is: some people would rather get paid than take vacation.
How they arrange doing that with their employer is an entirely different thought.
