I asked this some weeks ago, but the verification system was down, and could not find my question. Is the BBC correct in suddenly choosing to describe a sportsperson in this American-style fashion, or are they merely trying to look cool (and failing miserably)?
I have complained to the BBC many times, but they fob me off with pathetic excuses.
Kind regards,
Matty.
