5 Straightforward sentences with different word choices HELP

Could you please help me with this?

1 When I last came to visit you, I had bought my phone 3 days before./I bought my phone 3 days before I came to visit you the last time I came.
2 We just wasted 10 minutes./lost 10 minutes.
3 Are we going in the right direction./Are we going the right way?
4 I read less pages in the 2 hours I was on the plane than in the 30 minutes I was in the car on my way home.
5 They were driving to fast for such a small road. They could have driven off the road and into the ditches at/on/along the sides of the road. Especialy with the fog, they couldn't see ahead of them/up ahead of them.
How long will it take me to learn my way the city.

Can you say : SENTENCES WITH DIFFERENT WORD CHOICES.
