Hi. If I can offer a British perspective.

1 How much/what is your budget, including/counting [any] state aid/benefits [that] you receive? ("counting" is perfectly acceptable, "any" and "that" are optional, and "receive" is preferable to "get")

2 I gave my nephew half the price of the haircut to convince him to get one.

3 I'll ask for half what he asks/does to do the same job. ("does" avoids the repetition of "ask(s)")

4 When [she's] in the subway, she makes sure not to touch the part(s) of the railing/rail that everyone else touches. ("she's" is optional, and like changing "she doesn't" to "not to," omitting it avoids repetition)

5 It seems [like/that] the uglier the dog the more expensive [it is]. ("like/that" and "it is" are optional)

6 The sooner you write to him asking for information, the sooner you'll be set as to what you need to get a/the procedure going. (In Britain, the phrase "(to) write him" means to write the word "him." If you are referring to the writing of a letter, then you use "(to) write to him")
