4 sentences to correct

At noon this very day I was given by my employer a load of work to be done until the evening.
Strolling along the beach, I found a pricey mobile phone by chance.
During the final decisive match, there was an apparent fierce competitiveness in the air.
When I switched the TV on, my most favourite serial had been already on the air.

Please, could you have a look at the aspect of naturalness of these sentences?

Thanks in advance.
