Could an English speaker tell me if this is correct?

Are the tenses correct?
You had to think to bring it otherwise you would have struggled to do it.

Is this sentence correct?
The curtains aren't close enough to the window.

Is it natural to say 'feel constrained'?
I don't swaddle my baby because she doesn't like to feel constrained.

Does this make sense and is it natural?
I put the door mat in door to keep it from slamming shut.
