3rd Grade Spelling sentence

I feel silly for having to ask this, but my daughter was given the following sentence for Spelling and it just doesn't seem right to capitalize the Y in "you" the way they have it. But then, it's been forever since I've been in school. Is this sentence correct as written?

"Wait," said Joshua, "You shouldn't spread the cream!"

If that's a comma after 'Joshua' (it's too small for me to make out), it should be a full stop (period). The capital Y is then correct.
