Hi, I was reading a passage about the origin of slow food in Italy. One of sentence begins with 'It's 30000 strong there.'
Would the numbers imply how many people are supporting slow food and get involved?

Oh, yes, You are right about the number. I wasn't looking at the passage while writing up the question

I don't know who's counting. For me, the sentence isn't clear. I could only assume the number would mean the population in Italy who support Slow food (whether they eat slow food, cook slow food, or just acknowledge slow food).
