3 tenses



Hi,

Am I supposed to say : each verb has 3 basic conjugating tenses, or each verb has 3 basic conjugation tenses?

I would say each verb has three principal parts: see, saw, seen; go, went, gone; need, needed, needed. (This is not true about the defective auxiliaries, of course.)
