3 sentences for a book

Hi,
Would you please correct?

He's a pretty secretive person. That's as secretive as I can do. Anymore secretive I can't do. She said.

The company has been recruiting a lot of new candidates as of late.

I was giving him a hug, my right hand around his hip, my left tangling/entangled in his hair.

Please help

If the first string of sentences refers to the same person (that is, to him), then I'd probably put it like that: "He is a pretty secretive person. In fact, he is as secretive as it gets," she said. (the last sentence is redundant) When it comes to the company, it could be claimed that we only recruit new workers (since a candidate becomes an employee upon recruitment), but that's arguable.

  • As for the last one, it would be advisable to use a more "passionate" word than "hug" (such as "embrace"), since the situation described clearly indicates some profound emotional bond between the persons (possibly either a relationship or a romance).
