3 questions please help IS EXEMPT vs HAS BEEN EXEMPT

Could one tell me if these could be said ?

1 It might look like a botched job, but when I did it, I found nothing wrong with what I had done.

2 If in a script I was to write (BACK TO/IN PRESENT TIME after I was/am done writing a flashback, would that be comprehensible?)

3 She thinks because she's working full time that she's exmpt from chores/she has been exempt from chores. It seems that way to me.

Thank you

It depends on the suprasentential structure. Please put it in a larger context.
