3 questions about going places

Good afternoon.

(1) What do you take when you want to go to... ?

Can I use the verb 'go' even if it's not a journey on foot (but one for example by train, ship, helicopter)? I'm asking that because I see 'to go' associated with 'walking'.

(2) What do you take to get to school?

Can I substitute 'school' with other places? For instance the name of a town or an area in the mountains...

(3) Where do you travel by plane? - I travel everywhere there's an airport.

Can you say that?

Thank you.

Do you mean like "take a bus or a train"? Or like "take some clothes and books with you"? This would work in the latter case, but it would be better
