3 kinds of questions help please

as most of english leaners know

there are 2 kinds of questions

yes/no questions

wh questions

but today the teacher said that they are three
kinds of question

two of them have been written above

and the third one is tag question

could you tell me a meaning of this kind of questions

and give me some examples for them please

wasn't it = was it not

because i think that not will just contact with the helping verb not with the subject

White Cat, I am not a native English speaker but I think you have two ways to write that sentence:

It was my first post in that forum, wasn't it?
It was my frist post in that forum, was it not?

The first one is informal while the second one is formal.
The one you wrote "It was my first post in that forum, was not it?" sounds very weird.
