0Do you read "year 2006" as "year two thousand 01font00and02font00 six" or"year two thousand six"? Or both are equally acceptable.0-

0 We don't say twenty twenty at the moment (but no doubt this form will become common as it is the structure used for most years in the past). For some reason we are still stuck at two thousand and ....for this century. Odd, as we used to say nineteen eighty one- 1981, nineteen oh two - 1902. Logically we should be saying twenty oh seven for this year, but we don't. I wonder if and when we will

0 Good old what's-his-name, a guy from the television show 60 Minutes, says "Twenty oh six." The first time I heard it, I was surprised, but it sounds okay to me now. I still say "two thousand and seven" myself though. 0-
