2 verbs that follow each other????

Can two verbs follwong one another?

1 What did you go do downstairs?

2 You should come stay at our house.

and one more thing can one say?

1 When the hour strikes, come down and meet me/When the hour strikes 1 pm, come down and meet me.

Do you have to put 1pm or can you just say "WHEN THE HOUR STRIKES."

Thanks

The first 2 are informal but they are said in everyday spoken english?

and for the WHEN THE HOUR STRIKES 1pm

if its 12:50

but if you don't have the time could you just say :

When the hour strikes, come down.

or is it ?

When the clock strikes 1 , come down.

thanks

They are common.

Your time statement is correct.

If you don't have the time, then you can't say '1'– the next hour to strike may be 2 or 3.

Hello Mister Micawber

I'm having trouble with these sentences?

1 When noon hits/strikes, I'll leave.
2 When the clock strikes noon, I'll leave.
3 When the hour hits/strikes, I'll leave.

Thank you

When the clock strikes noon, I'll leave. (Only if the clock actually makes a sound at noon.)

I'll leave (exactly) at noon.
When it gets to noon, I'll leave.
