2 situations for teacher to correct

Could you correct 2 situations in terms of grammar?

He has a one bedroom which was originally 2 singles that were side by side that he broke the wall.He used to have a single and had not other room to go when he got into a fight with his girlfriend for alone time so he bought one next door so that they could have a different room to go whenever they got into fights.

Can you correct tense? Is it correct to say that you go through somewhere?

If the navigation system says she arrives destination in 30 minutes and she is saying that it says she arrives in 20, she's lying. Maybe she is going to go through the business district to get to our house to avoid traffic.

....he had no other room to go to.....

That's how I would word it. The other may be correct, but doesn't sound natural.
