2 questions

Hey there.

1.) "I went to the post office to mail my package" or "I went to the post office and mailed my package"?

2.) Possessive:
"I mailed the package containing my brother and parents' gifts" or "I mailed the package containing my brother's and parents' gifts"?

Which is correct in each case?

Thanks,
