2 Qs in one sentence (place for "out" and tense after "as")

One simple sentence has so many grammar questions for me Emotion: smile

1.Place for "out"  
2.  Tense for "think" and why.

'Out it is not so cold as I think (or thought)'
or
'It is not so cold out as I think (or thought)'
or
'It is not so cold as I think (or thought) out '

Hi. If you want to use the word out at the begining you have to drop it to avoid redundancy. And you have to use the past form of think(thought) because your current opinion about the weather outside is different from the one you thought before.

If you want to use the word out at the begining you have to drop it to avoid redundancy.

And you have to use the past form of think(thought) because your current opinion about the weather outside is different from the one you thought before. So you thought something in the past and now you find it wrong.

Hence your first sentence would be
