2 part question

Hello to all,
If a native speaker sees this post, could you help me with it?

1a) Is it correct to say "comes to become"?
1b) "For my taste" Is that correctly used? and fits nicely in the sentence? Is there some way you will say better?

In the movie, you see how she comes to become a dancer. She doesn't act well enough for my taste to deserve the award.

Thanks you and good night

I agree that 'comes to become' is possible, but it sounds clunky to me. I'd use 'gets to become'.

fivejedjon I'd use 'gets to become'.
In AmE at least, this more usually carries a slightly different meaning, 5jj: 'gets to do' = has the lucky opportunity of doing.
