2 numbers at a time

Is the following question phrased correctly?

Can you read out my bank account number 2 numbers at a time for me?

If so what does it mean?

Bank account 24592038432

Would you say
1 twenty four, fifty nine, twenty...
2 two four, five nine, two zero...

Thanks

How do you make the distinction?

Bank account 24592038432

Would you say
If you want it said like this? How would you ask?
1 twenty four, fifty nine, twenty...
If you want it asked like this how would you ask?
2 two four, five nine, two zero...

Thanks

Why would you care which way the person reads it?

In my experience it would be extremely unusual for anyone to read it as "twenty-four, fifty-nine . . . " and so on. It would be even stranger for someone to specifically ask for it to be read that way.

If I were to read a number like that aloud I would read it in groups of two numbers (two four, five nine, ...) or, more likely,
