2 more hours vs. 2 hours less

2 more hours --- Is it Okay to say, "2 hours more?" Why not if the answer is NO?

2 hours less --- Is it Okay to say, "2 less hours?" Why not if the answer is NO?

Note: The pattern seems very inconsistant.
