1st and 2nd Saturday / Saturdays of each month

Hi,

"We meet on the 1st and 2nd Saturday / Saturdays every month".

Should I use 'Saturday' or 'Saturdays' in the sentence above?

Hi; If you say it this way, then it is clearly plural: 1) We meet on two Saturdays every month: the first and the second. This way, it is singular: 2) We meet every month on the first Saturday and also on the second Saturday. In your version, I vote for singular - it is closer to #2 than #1.
