1is to show students how what they are studying relates to their daily lives

All concepts that we know today have roots from nature. We use our knowledge to adapt and to survive in extreme environment. Hence, schools should teach their students how to apply the information that they have learned in routine life. In my opinion, I totally agree with the statement that to show students the relationship between theories and reality is the most essential responsibility of a teacher.

A prominent reason is that a large quantity of definition usually makes most of children hard to understand elaborately. To solve this issue, teachers are recommended to give example. Not only, examples help students figure what they learned out, but also help to assimilate knowledge faster. The more examples relates to daily lives, the more they are effective. For instance, when I was in junior-high school, my chemistry teacher who was a practical person always show me a lot of funny experiments which can be done at home. He linked all chemical reactions I learned in textbooks to my home life. His measure was significantly influeneced on my studies. He not only helped me diget the amount of information in chemistry but also inspired me to love his subject.

Another explanation is that relationship between studying and lives which teacher say in their lesson is an essential equipment for student to face with dangerous. That what is written in textbooks is perfected and, therefore, is far from real life. If students only follow sentences in books, they cannot use these knowledge effectively. Furthermore, by that way, learning without practicing is considered as time-consuming. Taking an example, an engineer just read books and do calculation on paper without encounter with real machine, that person could not become a good mechanic in future.

In conclusion, to those reasons were mentioned above, teachers should encourage students to cope with real experiment in their daily life to develop the practical ability.
