TOPIC: The world of work is rapidly changing and employees cannot depend on having the same work or the same work conditions for life. Discuss the possible causes and suggest ways to prepare for people to work in the future.

In recent decades, workplaces are constantly changing and evolving to meet the demands of modern society. Additionally, job market is also undergoing major changes to adapt to new ways of working and living. In this essay, I will discuss several reasons for this tendency and suggest certain preparations that the future workforce can do in order to to deal with the situation.

To begin with, there are several contributors for this tendency, and one of the most significant factors is the developments in hi-tech machines, which have lead to the disappear of many jobs. Take automobile industry as an example, in the past, details of car were manually assembled by workers, but now they are automatically done by robotic hands, that are able to do the job quicker and more effective. Furthermore, as companies want to cut expenses in order to increase profits, many jobs are being outsourced to countries where wages are lower. For instance, when a person in British calls a tech support help line, they will most likely to be connected to someone in India or Philippine, where the salary rate is lower.

Fortunately, there are a number of ways that people can prepare for such situation. Firstly, employees need to change their mindset and realize that achieving absolute security by doing the same and familiar jobs forever is impossible as jobs are constantly added and removed. Therefore, they also need to continuously learn new skills and knowledge, which will be highly regarded in the eyes of head hunters, and ensure they are still able to get another jobs if there is any change occur. Secondly, school should provide more career orientation classes for students and advise them about the sustainability of the career path they are choosing.

In conclusion, advanced technologies and outsourcing are the main two reasons causing rapid change in labour market and any future-worker should be aware of the situation and well-prepared in order to ensure a decent job.
