In this day and age, more and more business meetings and trainings are conducted via Internet, instead of face-to face meetings. Personally, I think the merits of this tendency are of greater its drawbacks.

On the one hand, it is undeniable that online meetings have several limitations. Firstly, the lack of direct interaction between attendees, which is often considered as one of the key elements of a successful meeting or training session, would negatively affect the efficiency of meetings. While online participants can be easily distracted, this will not be the case in face-to-face meeting or training where people are more engaging and active. Furthermore, during an online meeting, technical problems, such as slow internet connection or platform malfunction, can disrupt and cause the meeting to be delayed or rescheduled, which is really inconvenient.

On the other hand, I am convinced that the advantages of virtual meeting are more significant. Compared to traditional face-to-face meetings, those are held online will save a great deal amount of time and effort on traveling and organizing. Spending days of traveling just to join a several hours meeting could be a huge burden for employees, especially for high level managers who have a lot of meetings need to be attended throughout the year. Moreover, if business meetings and trainings are hold online, documents and files can be easy not only to share and send among members but also to sort and store for later review. This is the unique feature that make online meeting and training a more cost-saving but also a convenient method.

In conclusion, although there are still some minor disadvantages, online meetings can be greatly beneficial not only for individual employees but also for the business organizations as a whole.
