Regarding time, how would you express 14:05?


Even if it were in a more context, would it be ever be correct to say "It's fourteen hours and five minutes"?

Christine Christie would it be ever be correct to say "It's fourteen hours and five minutes"? It seems all right to me. I think most of us would abbreviate it, though, and just say "It's fourteen-oh-five".

On an oven timer or something like that, yes. If you mean time of day, no, where they use a 12-hour clock, as here in the USA. I don't know what they say where they use 24-hour time, but I say "fourtee
