10 english sentences that needs to be checked

Hello, could you please check whether the sentences below are correct. Inside the paranthesis I wrote the word that I want to use in the sentence. If I am using it wrong, will you please use it in a correct way. Thanks.


1-(tempestuous)-They had a tempestuous relationship with a lot of ups and downs.


2-(persnickety)- Being a persnickety person often causes wasting your time on details and you never be able to finish your work on time.


3-(impute)- If a small child commits a crime, then it is very likely that the parents are imputed.

4-(carp)- There is always carping about small things amongst them.


5-(maladroit)- His only flaw is being maladroit, but I believe that he will manage it eventually.


6-(commensurate)- Everybody get what they deserve commensurately with their effort.


7-(eschew)- He had always eschewed the smallest actions which he regarded that as morally wrong.


8-(dote on)- There is a stereotype that only-children generally be spoiled because their parents dote on them.


9-(confound)- He was so confoundedly conceited that it was impossible to persuade him when he made mistakes.


10-(gloat)- The majority of the public in the world gloat over their country or nationality by thinking that they are the best.
