Hello, could you please check whether the sentences below are correct. Inside the paranthesis I wrote the word that I want to use in the sentence. If I am using it wrong, will you please use it in a correct way. Thanks.


1-(table)-Being an occupied student, he had to table his hobby of making electronic planes.


2-(surge)- There was an excitement surging inside all of us as the roller coaster speeded up.


3-(prosaic)- Some newspapers tend to exaggerate the truth by thinking that writing without exaggeration would be prosaic.


4-(inimical)- Once being appreciated by the public, he became inimical to them after the revelations of his personal life.


5-(cavil)- He will cavil at all of your work because of his hatred towards you.


6-(stratification)- Stratification of rich and poor is still a modern day problem.


7-(fortright)- Telling everything fortrightly may not be very clever in some occasions.


8-(subterfuge)- Advertisements generally make people buy their products by subterfuge.


9-(conjure up)- New York generally conjures up image of a gorilla on top of the Empire State.
