The problems with your sentences are that you seem to have a preceived notion of what they should sound like, and even with the previous answers from the forum, you seem to be repeating the same sentence patterns and mistakes. One can't help but be intrigued to learn how these sentences were inspired. They are very "bewilderingly challenging" and only those daring would be brave enough to tackle them.

Ah! That explains it. But first I have to make a correction. In my earlier post, "preceived" was meant to be "preconceived".

Honestly, what you are doing is you are trying to blend French and English together which is why your

sentences have such an odd tone to them. I won't advise anyone to attempt translating another language into English until the fundamentals are well estab

It is a daunting task, but you make it seem like the above sentences are mess. when in fact I'm pretty sure there are a couple of things wrong with them, nothing to sweat over. What do you think?

When I used the term "a daunting task", I meant it literally. To make your sentences to look and sound natural, it would require a lot of rewriting. You seem to be very entrenched in getting your sentence to sound natural. But in order to achieve that goal, your sentence structure must be idiomatic nd grammatically correct. Your obstacle is that you are so focused on the naturality of the senten

6. In the US we normally say 'cleaners'.

7. This is a repeat...judged ok in an earlier post.

8. Use 'but' here. 'Except that' must refer to the other person. You'd make an amazing agent except that you're usually late.

9. both ok

10. I've seen this one before, as well. It's ok

1) right
2) needs a second "I"
3) not very natural. ("I'm thinking about what position I want to do it in" sounds like you're reading the Kama Sutra. How about "I'm thinking about my dance position"?
4) fine
5) I'm trying to imagine a situation in which two people are in a bed and one of them is explaining to a third person why he has switched sides ("I'd rather lie here than w
