1 sentences Don't know if it's correct, could you tell me

Is this correct?

  • I'm scared of/about what's going to happen, but one thing is sure and that's I've never been more sure about something than this in my life. I want to go through with it.
Could one correct this please??

Here's a rule of thumb: scared of [things: noises, bears, snakes, rumors] (I prefer 'afraid') scared about [clauses: what he may think, where she's headed, who may be hiding inside] (again, I prefer 'afraid') scared by [something real that just appeared] ('afraid' doesn't work here)
