1: I haven't talked to him yet. 2: I haven't yet talked to him.

Which of the given sentences is correct? yet is an adverb in the following sentence but I don't see how it's modifying the verb talked. Please help.
1: I haven't talked to him yet.
2: I haven't yet talked to him.
