He told me that he thinks it would be a good movie if it had been done my Marvel.

or

He told me that he thought it would be a good movie if it had been done by Marvel.

Which of these sentences would be correct in terms of the use of tenses?

If he told you recently, and it is reasonable to assume that he still thinks that way, you can use either "thinks" or "thought". For something that happened further back in the past, use "thought". Assuming you mean that actually it wasn't made by Marvel, and it isn't/wasn't a good movie, I suggest: He told me that he thinks/thought it would have been a good movie if it had been done/made by Marvel.

I was also thinking of using 'would have been' but I want to say that it would be a good movie now. Assuming this, could I also use 'would be' in this case or is 'would have been' the only option?

For me, "He told me that he thought it would be a good movie ..." leads me to think that the movie is yet to be made (or seen).
