Happy New Year is one of the most important holiday of all the countries over the world. Each country has a different celebratious.
VietNam and China have some similarities in the way of celebrating New Year. Both coutries are Lunar New Year of Chinese New Year. It often starts in lunar Juanuary and the end in Febnuary. At that time, the atmosphere is very noisy. All the people are off their work and come back their home to prepare for New Year. the house of Chinese and VietNamese is cleaned and decorated. They also go to market to buy a lot of things, especially chicken, it is a tradition food in New Year. Every custom must be finished before mid night and everyone go to see the firework together. In many following day, they go to pagoda to pray for good things, or they visit their relatives and go out with their friends.
Beside the similities, VietNam and China also have some different. In Vietnam, pork and chicken are used most, they also have a traditional cakes are called Banh Chung and Banh Tet. In the otherhand, Chinese is used fish in New Year. The way of decoration is different, too. Chinese is use the strip sentence to decorate their home, the sentence must bring a good meaning to their family. But in Vietnam, the people like decorating Apricot and Blossom, Kumquat, it's symbolic for the development and happiness.
Each countries has a different celebratious, but has beautiful points of each other. I hope that everyone in the world can keep and converse nation traditional.
