1. "people living abroad" may suggest people from your home country who have moved abroad, which presumably is not intended. You could try "people in other countries". This also avoids the slightly awkward "living ... live".

2. "how they think" does not mean quite the same as "what they think". "their ways of thinking" is closer to "how" than to "what". You would need to decide which best

People living abroad means people from your own country who are living in another country.
People abroadis not a natural phrase.
