Grammar

1. "I didn't know/hadn't known about it until he said."

2. "I was doing this job for many years." (Can I use past simple for long periods?)

3. I was doing this job for 10 years there before I moved here."

4. "As soon as he went/had gone there, he had an accident."(Do we use past simple or past perfect for 'as soon as' structure?)
