"High population growth is one of the major problems the world is facing. The earth has a definite capacity to support this over growing population. According to a recent study, scientists found that the earth has a maximum carrying capacity of 10 billion people. With the over growing population over the past six decades, it will not take much time for the population to cross 10 billion. Few sources predicted the earth would reach 10 billion by 2070. The population in 1800 was around a billion. The population reached 2 billion in 1920. Since then, due to population explosion, the global population has increased by leaps and bounds. It took thousands and thousands of years for the population to reach one billion and took another 100 years to add another billion, but, since then, it took less than 100 years to add another 5 billion. Today, the human population is around 7 billion. The major factors for this ever growing population is poverty. If we look at the population growth rate of countries, we can see the less population growth rate is seen in developed countries, in contrast to developing countries which have high population growth rate. The developing countries should take precautionary measures to create awareness among their people. It's every human resposibility to make this earth liveable. The earth has definite capacity to tolerate humans. Beyond that, our future population will have to face it's consequences."
