Could you please correct if any mistakes are present in the below conversation and also if possible, rephrase the sentences which aren't used in everyday conversations.

A : Hey! How's the weather there?

B : It's very cold here. Normally it should be hot this season but as the cyclone has hit this region in the last week, there has been persistent rains over the last few days.

A : Yeah. I got to know about the cyclone there in the morning while reading a newspaper. That's why I've called you now to know how's everything going there. Hope everyone is safe.

B : Yeah we are fine now. I've never seen rains lasting for days in this region. This place is semi-arid . Rains used to very rare but the heavy rains since last week made everyone surprised. Many people in the city are facing problems with these heavy rains.

A : Let the ground water be replenished because of these rains. So that there wouldn't be drinking problem next summer.

B : (laugh)You are always good at finding better even in the worst cases. Anyway, as there has been no power for the last 2 days, battery is almost got to zero. I'll call you after some time. Bye!
