Vocabulary

I was wondering if a school class takes place or it happens or it occurs. I know Students attend the class, teachers do the class but class itself happens or what. Please help me with this confusion.

Try "is taught."

Thanks teechr for your reply. Yes I know the class is taught by the teacher. But what about class itself.
The class happened/ took place/ occured correctly. Its relation is with time.

Thanks again teechr.I think I can't explain myself correctly. I mean I understand the class starts and finishes. But what if I've to say The class happened/ took place/ occurred in a right way without any problem. I know the other option is 'the class went well'. But can't we use any of the above mentioned verbs.

These are possible: Class [meets / is held / is in session] from 1 to 2 pm every Monday and Wednesday.
