I wonder why people use "in the ocean" while grammatically it is incorrect to use. Shouldn't it be "in an ocean" ?

and also I got a doubt while typing the above sentence. Should I have been typed "when grammatically" instead of "while grammatically"

Thanks!

By an unspoken common agreement among speakers of English, we speak as if all the various named oceans form one connected world-wide ocean, and that's the ocean.

No. Either word will do.

It's debatable whether it's ungrammatical to say "in the ocean" when everyone says it. It's probably better to say that it is an exception to the usual rules for the use of "a" and "the" in modern English. The phrase was probably first use
