I would like to break the following sentence down into parts of speech:
Since the algorithm has been described as illegally acquired, distributing the document would be amoral and, therefore, unethical.
Can I say that the first part ' Since the algorithm has been described as illegally acquired' is an adverbial clause that describes the verb 'would be' in the second part of the sentence which is also the main, independent clause?
