Cholesterol has long been identified as a silent killer because the patient has no _ of the danger freely __ his system.

a) idea; infecting
b) information; invading

According to my book, the answer is (b). I don't know the difference between (a) and (b) since both 'infecting' and 'invading' fits in the second blank. Please advise.

It's a bad question. Cholesterol is a natural substance, produced by the liver. It is not an infection (external agent).
