Grammar

His father won't be able to leave for Varanasi until they have arrived.
I think there should be arrive instead of have arrived. It is talking about present condition.
For example- If they arrive his father will leave for Varanasi. Here we cant say If they have arrived his father will leave for Varanasi.
Am i right?

Both 'arrive' and 'have arrived are possible. The former suggests that the father's departure will be at the same time as their arrival, the latter that it will be after their arrival.
