Hello teachers, please help me out with this.
'I gave my watch to the girl'.
Now here this guy is referring to a girl and he is using the which means he is talking about a definite girl but he does not know her, could you still use the?

Also, 'I took them by a car'.
I know what car it is but the addresse does not, I know using the is perfectly alright, but how about A?
