a) need worry
b) will worry

d) No improvement

Answer is (a).

Shouldn't the answer be (d) i.e ' needs to worry' ?

"Need" can be used as a normal verb and (sometimes) as a modal verb. Modals don't take an -s.

No one should worry about me.

I agree. "No one need worry" is also correct. However, there is nothing wrong with the original sentence. Hence, the answer shouldn't be (a). It should be "d".
