"I had pizza" -- you had an unspecified quantity of pizza
"I had a pizza" -- you had one whole pizza
"I had (some) pizzas" -- you had several whole pizzas (rather unusual because one pizza is usually at least enough for a whole meal for one person)
As a plural, "pizza's" is always wrong

"I had egg rice" -- "egg rice" is uncountable
"I had an egg rice" -- "an egg rice" is c

What exactly is "egg rice"? That term is not common in English (at least American English) -- I'm guessing maybe it's what we would call "fried rice with egg" or "egg fried rice." But maybe it's a different dish entirely.

There seem to be various different dishes called "egg rice", from India, Japan and elsewhere.

Oh, OK. You mean "fried", not "friend".

Yes, "I had egg fried rice" is normally fine. It is not normally necessary to consider it as a countable item.

Oh cool.I also have a relevant question.
I read in the newspaper "the jury is watering a sapling". But I would actually say "watering the sapling".

I know both are correct but I would want to emphasize by using the article.it sounds natural and correct right?

thank you so much again.

Why would a jury be watering a sapling? "Jury" doesn't make any sense here. Is there a typo?

A jury is not "he". A jury is a group of people who make a judgement, e.g. to decide someone's guilt in a court of law.
