what is the proper spelling of the plural form of thank you

Top answer

You could say, very informally, eg He gave me ten thank-you's. But this is very casual English. More careful English is eg He thanked me ten times.

Hi Clive. I wonder why you would need an apostrophe with thank yous.

It;s commonly used in informal English when working with a phrase.

You can make a noun plural by simply adding 's', eg chair/chairs. But you can't do the same for a phrase like 'thank you'.
