i am new in teaching, i have few doubts in grammar subject and predicate, i would be really grateful to you if you can help me

And apart from this
I am sorry. ( what is sorry in this sentence a noun or adjective)

How quickly the holiday has passed (is this a statement sentence or an exclamatory sentence)
