Your sentence checks out apart from the spelling of 'the'. It would not be normal to say 'The child was drinking from the bore of the bottle.' It would be more typical to exclude the word 'bore' and just say : 'The child was drinking from the bottle.' If you insisted on using a more specific term, then 'mouth of the bottle' would be more widely understood.

The term "bore of the bottle" is not part of common vocabulary. "Also called the aperture, corkage, *******, opening, throat, or mouth of the bottle". The more common words with comparable or deducible meanings, like 'opening', 'mouth', 'throat' or even 'corkage' ( deducible from the word 'cork'), are more likely to be clear.
